LLQ Expansion Mapping

Auto-detects liquidity zones, structural shifts, and expansion targets across 5 simultaneous timeframes for high-probability reversal and continuation trades.

Core Concept

LLQ Expansion Mapping is a complete institutional analysis suite built on one core idea: liquidity always precedes expansion. It reconstructs up to 5 HTF candles simultaneously, identifies where smart money swept liquidity, detects the iFVG inversion that signals entry, grades the setup quality in real time, and projects the statistical distribution targets — all from a single indicator on any chart.

What It Does

LLQ Expansion Mapping layers multiple structural detection systems on top of each other: 5 independent HTF candle timelines, session-based liquidity pivots, fractal sweep tracking, CISD confirmation zones, SSMT divergence, standard deviation projection targets, and an automated trade grader. Each system feeds into the next, creating a unified execution framework.

The Clean Mode toggle activates an HMA-VWAP filter that removes low-probability signals, leaving only setups where price structure and momentum align — drastically cutting chart noise without losing structural context.

Key Features

📊 5-TF HTF Candle Engine
Reconstruct up to 5 HTF candles simultaneously (default: 5m, 15m, 1H, 4H, 1D). Each with independent candle, sweep, and SMT toggles.
🌊 iFVG Engine
Tracks session extremes and detects iFVG inversions triggered by HTF or session sweeps. One-shot mode fires each signal once and locks out repeats.
🎯 CISD Detection
Change in State of Delivery across 3 configurable timeframes, anchored to HTF sweeps. Historical cap prevents clutter.
⚡ SSMT Divergence
Structural SMT divergence using DC Quarter extremes. Auto-detects NQ/MNQ, YM/MYM, ES/MES pairs or manually select. Fires max once per quarter per side.
📐 Projection Targets
Four standard deviation levels (−1, −2, −2.5, −4) projected from confirmed sweep structures. Each level independently styled.
🏷️ HTF DSS Reaction Table
A closed-candle bias scanner that reads the last finalized HTF candle across all 5 enabled timeframes and classifies each as Long, Short, or Avoid — before any setup forms.
🔵 Session Boxes
Asia, London, NY AM, Lunch, NY PM rendered as clean session boxes with sweep tracking, smart labels, and configurable extension logic.
📅 Opening Prices
Up to 8 configurable custom sessions (True Day Open, 06:00, 08:30, 09:00, 09:30, 10:00, 14:00) plus Daily/Weekly/Monthly opens and H/L.
🏆 Trade Grader
Scores every iFVG setup in real time across 6 dimensions: delivery, momentum, position, SMT, CISD, and PDH/PDL. Outputs a letter grade A–F.
🔗 Fractal Pivot Sweeps
Fractal highs and lows tracked with configurable period and memory. Sweep lines drawn when price crosses a prior fractal level.
🎛️ Clean Mode
HMA(40) + VWAP band filter that hides low-probability iFVG and CISD signals. DC Quarter separators remain visible even in clean mode.
🕐 Time Range Separators
Configurable time-based separators (5m, 15m, 30m, 1H, 90m, 4H) with optional suppression in Clean Mode.

How the Model Works

The model runs a 4-step sequence:

1. Liquidity Sweep (K1)

Price wicks beyond a prior HTF candle high or low, or beyond a session extreme, triggering the sweep. The sweep line is drawn from this wick. This is your permission to look for an entry.

2. Directional Bias (HTF DSS)

Before looking for any formation, the HTF DSS Reaction Table tells you which direction each timeframe favors — based on the finalized close of the last completed HTF candle. This is your filter. You only look for entries in the direction the table confirms. Running across 5 timeframes simultaneously lets you see where the highest-timeframe alignment exists.

3. iFVG Inversion (Entry Signal)

A Fair Value Gap in the sweep candle or preceding structure is inverted (price closes through the FVG). This is the entry trigger. The iFVG engine labels it BUY or SELL and the Trade Grader scores it immediately.

4. Expansion Targets (K3)

Standard deviation projections from the swing structure define −1, −2, −2.5, and −4 deviation targets. These represent statistically probable distribution levels for the expansion leg.

Sessions

Asia
20:00 – 00:00 ET (default)
London
02:00 – 05:00 ET
NY AM
08:30 – 12:00 ET
Lunch
12:00 – 13:30 ET
NY PM
13:30 – 16:00 ET

All session times are fully customizable. The iFVG engine uses session highs and lows as sweep anchors — when price raids a session extreme, it arms the iFVG detection for that side.

Display

Clean Mode

Activates an HMA(40) + VWAP band algorithmic filter. When on, low-probability iFVG and CISD signals are hidden. Standard time separators are also removed. DC Quarter separators remain visible regardless of this setting. Use Clean Mode when you want a focused, low-noise view of only the highest-conviction setups.

HTF Candles

Up to 5 independent HTF candle groups are rendered to the right of your chart price. Each group can be individually enabled or disabled.

Number of HTF Candles

How many historical candles to show per group (1–20). Increase to see more history from each timeframe.

Space Between TF Groups

Controls the horizontal gap (in bars) between each HTF candle group. Increase if groups overlap.

TF Groups (K1–K5)

Default timeframes: 5m · 15m · 1H · 4H · 1D. Each group has three toggles:

Enable/disable the group Show Candles Show Sweeps

Candle K-Labels

K2 Label: marks the HTF candle whose closed OHLC the DSS Reaction Table classified as a directional bias signal. This is a closed-candle marker — it appears on the bar after the signal candle has fully closed. It is not a formation label; it is a bias reference that tells you which direction the table read for that candle.

K3 (Expansion Candle): labeled when the candle after a valid reversal expands beyond the reversal candle's range and closes through its midpoint or beyond.

Label offset from the wick tip is configurable in ticks. Raise this on large-tick instruments like bonds or crude.

Opening Prices

Draws horizontal reference lines at key opening times. All times are in New York timezone by default (configurable).

Custom Session Lines (H1–H8)

Eight individually configurable session lines. Defaults include True Day Open (00:00), 06:00, 08:30, 09:00, 09:30, 10:00, and 14:00. Toggle each on or off, rename the label, and set the color independently.

Daily / Weekly / Monthly Opens & H/L

Toggle the D/W/M opening price line and the previous period's high and low. Each period has an independent color. The Structural Table toggle shows a summary table of current position relative to these levels.

Session Drawing Limit

Number of days the opening price lines extend back (default: 15). Reducing this improves performance on lower timeframe charts with many bars.

SMT & Sweep

HTF Sweeps on Chart

When enabled, a line is drawn from the swept HTF candle wick to the bar where the sweep occurred. A TF label identifies which timeframe was swept. Optionally shows the K1 target level (the prior candle's opposing extreme).

SSMT (Structural SMT) Divergence

Fires when the chart instrument makes a new DC Quarter extreme (fractal high or low) while the correlated pair does not confirm. Maximum one signal per side per DC Quarter to prevent over-signaling.

Auto-detect: Automatically selects the correlated pair based on the chart symbol (NQ↔ES, YM↔ES, MNQ↔MES, etc.).
Manual: Override with ES, MES, NQ, MNQ, YM, or MYM.

Show SSMT on Timeframes suppresses SSMT labels below a minimum TF: All / 15m+ / 1H+.

CISD Settings

Timeframes (TF 1–3)

CISD is detected across up to 3 independently configurable timeframes (defaults: 1m, 3m, 5m). Each CISD timeframe uses a dynamically assigned parent HTF for the sweep anchor: 1m→3m, 3m→15m, 5m→15m, following the intraday fractal chain.

Max Historical CISD Per TF

Caps the number of CISD lines kept visible per timeframe. Bull and bear counts are tracked separately. Default is 5 per side. Prevents old CISD lines from filling the chart.

Bullish / Bearish CISD Colors

Independent color for bull CISD (default: teal) and bear CISD (default: red). All three CISD timeframes share the same color pair.

Projection Targets

Standard Deviation Levels

Four projection levels from the confirmed sweep structure:

−1 — Initial target / first distribution zone
−2 — Primary extension target
−2.5 — Deep extension
−4 — Maximum statistical extension

Each level has an independent color. The projection flips direction based on the sweep type (high sweep → bearish projections, low sweep → bullish).

Sessions

Session Boxes

Each of the 5 sessions (Asia, London, NY AM, Lunch, NY PM) renders a background box over the session range. Box transparency is configurable (default: 95%). Session times are fully customizable.

Extend Pivots

Controls how long the session high/low reference lines extend:
Until Mitigated — line stops when price crosses it.
Past Mitigation — line continues after being crossed.

From Which Sessions

Most Recent: only the latest session's pivots are extended.
All: all sessions within the history window show extended pivots.

Smart Labels

When enabled, session labels auto-position to avoid overlap with other elements on the chart.

iFVG Engine

Tracking Bars

How many bars after a sweep the engine continues scanning for an iFVG inversion (default: 20). Increase for slower-moving markets or higher timeframe charts.

Line Length & Width

The horizontal length of the iFVG signal line (default: 15 bars). Width controls thickness (1–5). Keep length short to avoid visual clutter on busy charts.

Label Offset

Vertical distance between the iFVG signal line and the BUY / SELL label. Positive values push the label above the line; negative values below.

Chart FVG Boxes

Draws box overlays on the raw chart FVGs that the iFVG engine is tracking. Useful for understanding which gaps are being monitored for inversion. Bull FVGs default to green (85% transparent), bear to red.

Trade Grader

Every iFVG signal is automatically graded across 6 dimensions and assigned a letter grade. Hover the iFVG label tooltip to see the full breakdown.

SL Mode

Defines how the Stop Loss is placed for grading purposes:
Wick — SL at the full wick of the sweep candle.
Body — SL at the body of the sweep candle.
K1 — SL at the K1 (swept candle) level.

SL Buffer

Additional ticks added beyond the SL reference point (default: 2 ticks). Accounts for spread and execution slippage.

CISD Expire (Bars)

Number of bars after the iFVG signal the Trade Grader continues checking for a CISD co-occurrence. If no CISD fires within this window, the CISD grade dimension is marked as missed.

Grade PDH/PDL/PDM

When enabled, the Trade Grader also checks if price is approaching the Previous Day High, Low, or Midpoint at the time of the iFVG signal — adding positive grade weight when true.

HTF DSS Reaction Table

The Reaction Table is a closed-candle bias scanner. It evaluates the most recently finalized HTF candle across all enabled timeframe groups and classifies each as a directional signal for the next candle. This runs before any setup exists — it is your pre-formation directional filter, not an entry trigger.

How to Read It

Each row in the table corresponds to one of your enabled HTF timeframe groups. The classification is based on the completed OHLC of the last closed HTF candle:

Long — The closed candle showed bullish conviction. Either it swept the prior low and rejected back (sweep-and-reverse) or closed through the prior high (body breakout). Both signal bullish bias entering the next candle.

Short — The closed candle showed bearish conviction. Either it swept the prior high and rejected back (sweep-and-reverse) or closed through the prior low (body breakout). Both signal bearish bias entering the next candle.

Avoid — The candle swept both sides (no directional conviction) or swept neither. No clear bias for the next candle — skip trading that timeframe until the next candle resolves.

How to Use It

Check the table before looking for any entry. When 3 or more timeframes align on the same direction, that's your highest-conviction window. When timeframes conflict, the table shows you the division — avoid forcing entries on the shorter timeframes when the higher ones are Avoid or opposing. The table updates automatically every time an HTF candle closes, so you never need to switch charts to get a bias read.

Table Position & Size

Position the table in any of the 9 screen zones (top/middle/bottom × left/center/right). Text size: Tiny, Small, Normal, Large.
